Well after reading a few posts someplace about the rear pontiac emblem badge turning pink after a while I descided to take a closer look at mine and noticed it was deffinatly mary-kay pink. Not sure when it happened but god is that fugly. Time to order some overlays I think. Do all pontiac emblems have this issue or just vibes?

I was always a fan of black emblems. I purchased a set of the Saturn Limited Edition Black Emblems for my 94 SL1, what a difference from the red.notice how clean that car is!

A while back i did notice a pink arrow on an Azteck.but other pontiacs I have not noticed the issue... the current G6's have a red reflector instead of what the vibes have. However, The front arrow is still nice and red.

Same here, found it fading once on an Aztek also.None of the other models appear to have this problem.

hmm, debadgeign may be an option. Not sure how the bak would look though, if it would look naked or not. Plus I kinda like the chrome color badges, brings a bit of the interior color to the outside

I think that the back looks alot better without badges, its very clean. Even though I added a badge to the back after I debaged it. I'm still thinking that when I get my GM sport package installed I will go completly clean and take off all of my stickers and junk.

you can get some here
http://www.grafxwerks.com/prod...-1152as a side note today I went and applied my keyhole overlays that I had gotten to match the color of my car. They are close to the same color, but note close enough for my tastes. Not sure if its because theya re the liquidome or r thats just as clsoe as he can get with materials. May try the moddified pushpins (or what ever thsoe plastic pins for holding up molding on the car are called) and see about painting them to match

so how does one go about debadgeing? From what I have heard it just involves dental floss or fishine line to run behind the emblem to peal it off, then just some goo gone or what not to remove the remaining glue residue. That easy or need to clean and buff the area behind it and junk?

yup. fishing line, guitar string. just saw it along the back to cut the foam adhesive. then goo gone to get rid of residue. i did that a couple years ago before work. piece of cake, really.D0 IT! its a great look.

Also consider heating the badges up with a blow dryer or heat gun. It will soften the adhesive up. I used wax free dental floss to debadge mine.

I picked up everythign I need to debadge the car today, but oen question. How harsh is goo gone on the paint of the car, a few people and even the bottle warn it can harm some paints? Or just don't be slow and let it sit on it for ever and it will be fine?

I used goo gone to remove the adhesive left from the dealer decal. No problems. just give your ride a nice car wash when your done and you'll be lookin good.
