Went to get my car inspected today. Had an exhaust leak and failed it. So i figured instead of paying a shop to hack up my car and put some crappy system on it for way too much money, I'd see if I could locate a Magnaflow system. Turns out P-Tuning had one of the older models left in stock at a great price of $329! Seeing how their shop is only 15 miles from my house, I drove down and picked it up. Hopefully get it all bolted up tonight and pass the reinspection tomorrow....sorry, though. It was the last one!

very nice purchase, hopefully you pass, but i agree i'd get a magnaflow catback instead of them just fixing it for the same price

if they are doing a smog test... drive a bit before taking it in, new muffler system might throw off the readings.

Actually, it wasn't the smog test I failed. It was the "safety" test. What a leaky exhaust has to do with safety, I'll never know. The tech heard it when I fired it up to pull it into the bay. He then did the ol' rag over the exhaust tip trick and heard it escaping somewhere else. This place is usually pretty straight forward, but after he told me and I began to look for the leak, he told it couldn't be diagnosed like that. They would need to put it on the lift. I then politely told him I do my work myself and point out the black deposits, corrosion and cracks on the outlet side of my old flowmaster. He walked away.I bolted up the new system tonight. Went pretty smoothly. Only a few small, random bumps in the process. Once I got my old flowmaster out of there, I could see the extent of the leak! The outlet side was basically gone! Can't complain too much. It lasted almost 100k miles! The new system sounds and performs great! So much quiter and smoother! It even idles smoother and the midrange feels good.

Modern cars with properly functioning catalytic converters have taken care of this issue.However, there still is the risk of exposure here if you have a leak in the exhaust. There are several points of entry that your exhaust could take to enter the cabin from underneath.That risk is exceptionally small, but it's still there. It's likely this one has been left in because of older vehicles.

I saw that price at ptuning and wanted to get one too. That included shipping! However when I look at their website, that deal is not there any longer. I guess they only had one left#@!&*%!.

Anyone know if this system will fit an 08? The magnaflow website doesn't say. From everything I have seen they should be the same, but just wondering. I am looking at possibly picking one up...
