Traffic had to be detoured around the accident site for about an hour until the road was cleared. The Chemung County Sheriff's Office and the Horseheads Town & Country Fire Department assisted at the scene.Rice was charged by state police with following too closely.

Gee, wonder if it's totaled?Hopefully she comes out OK. Honestly from the look of things I'd say she's lucky she was only "injured".

holy crap i hope she is okay. You can see where the cabin was still good and intact though! i like that this car has good crumple zones and keeps the passengers safe.

wow, she's very lucky, but just looking at the vibe the whole driverside is still intact so i can see why she's only injured and nothing more

I smell that the bus driver will be fired, and the bus company is gonna get a nice lawsuit slapped on them. Time to make some $$$. I'm not one for suing, but for stupidity like that, you have to.

Quote, originally posted by "the wife" »first of all - have you ever studied the tests on vibes??? not good - bad motors and (obviously) unstable bodies/shells. she's lucky it was just that - couldve been worse on any other road with any other vehicle. its called bad timing, people make mistakes. and the driver had no idea she was stopped/slowing because there were never any brake lights to indicate to anyone! and besides - when you're doing the speed limit (which happens to be 55 on route 13 - and the busses by law cant even go 60), its pretty hard to stop on a dime. it's like trying to stop a full semi within 50 feet - NO WAY NO HOW. and the reports that she has serious injuries - ALL B.S. and reports the the driver of the bus was uninjured - also b.s. he's out of work with a hairline fracture on his wrist. for anyone who knows how i know this - the bus driver was my husband. i saw the whole thing. i saw the tape from the surveilence camera on the bus. he tried like hell to miss her. and we made a visit to her in the hospital. SO...I WOULD SUGGEST NOT MAKING COMMENTS WHEN YOU DONT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. the medias and news crews just want the money - they dont care about the facts, nor do they report them all. all they see is dollar signs. so you know where you can shove your opinion now...Posted by: harice4806 on Fri Feb 29, 2008 12:03 amPeople are SO full of crap...

Just like in the Vendetta movie, you leave your mark everywhere! LOL
