The wipers on my wife's Grand Prix won't go all the way down. They work fine otherwise. Does anyone know how I would fix this issue? The picture below shows how the wipers sit when turned off.

What year GP? If I recall correctly, the 99ish models had kind of a notched nut holding the wipers in place, and you could adjust them accordingly. They could get stripped threw standard use, and may have locked in the position they are know. There may be a plastic cap to take off to get to the nut.

was it covered in snow/ice and she turned them on? you wouldnt know how many customers we get that have this problem cause they dont clean off their windshields properly and then strip or make the gear inside jump a notch or whatever

The Park Stop Mechanism is not working/failed with the wipers. With some motors you can replace just it, it is an electronic control board others you need to replace the entire motor. I am not sure what yours has...

actually if you fix the windshield, the glass company will take the wipers off to do the glass, then they will put them back on in the correct location, saving you the hassle of doing that
