I am still waiting for my last T4. Since I changed jobs mid year for a much higher paying job, I expect to get a few thousand back as I was taxed at the higher rate, but only made half that because of the switch. I did it roughly online and it was a nice chunk of change. Plus I put a few thousand into RRSPs which helps too! maybe I will be able to pay off my credit card.

Still waiting for my T4's to show up. Although I'm in the same boat as Sputnik, so I'm happy about it. Not to mention a 2k bonus at work at the end of the month!

The fiancee and I maximized...getting a pretty sweet refund. Hello new fence, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and savings. When is the Canadian tax day? We got our W-2's by the end of January (same thing as your T4s) but financial institutions like Morgan Stanley don't have to send the 1099s until Feb 14th...go figure.Anyways, I love tax time, but the responsible individual in us would add it up and get $0 back and owe $0. If we would have it would have been more than an extra $500 a month. I'm prone to spend it so I'll let Uncle Sam borrow it interest free.

End of april? I dunno. It seems like I file about a month or so before I have to.Legally, our T4's don't have to be out until the end of Feb.Quote, originally posted by engineertwin2 »but the responsible individual in us would add it up and get $0 back and owe $0.Actually, the responsible individual in you would add it up and owe uncle sam at the end of the year. That way you could earn interest on the amount you should be paying into taxes for a year, instead of uncle sam earning it(or Stephen Harper - why don't we canucks have an uncle sam equivalent?).

A friend of mine is an accountant so i watched her 2 kids for free a while around the holidays adn shes gonna help me with mine on Sunday. Ar HRblock.com the tax predictor said I should get back 1200... that would be nice, but we will see, it was high on a friend of mine's so I dunno how accurate it is.

Aha! Canada is midnight april 30th. Although technically, if you don't owe anything to [insert Canadian equivalent of uncle sam here] you don't have to file... although I always found that odd.

If you make over a certain amount you have to pay to use the website for taxes.
