how do you adjust the aim on those? i brought my car in for some body work after a tree crashed onto it, they repainted the hood, and now one of the streams doesn't aim exactly on the windshield...how do i adjust these?oh, and the car is ok, just about 15-20 dents, and a cracked windshield...but hey, all the stone chips in the hood are repainted

I had one on my civic that wouldn't work, ended up pulling it out, soaked it in hot water, then plugged it back in and blew air thru it. After that it worked fine... so if it's just not spraying like it should it could just be slightly clogged up.

Just put a pin in the hole and adjust it that way.

its spraying...just not in the right spot...it is hitting just under where the wiper gets it on the driver side, its kinda wasting my fluid too, if its not doing anything.

hmmm...you could try: Quote, originally posted by Raven »Just put a pin in the hole and adjust it that way.If that doesn't work my next suggestion before buying a new one, is flipping your driver side and passenger ones to make sure it's the nozzle thats not right... I haven't looked too carefully at the Vibe's but I know there was basically no adjustability on my civic... they just snapped into place and that was it...

While you are at it, aimr the center ones high enough to go over the roof, used for annoying tailgaters...

From what I remember they basically just squeeze together from the under hood, and pop out... (it's a little harder than it sounds) it took me a little bit to get it.. but I took my time cause I didn't want to scratch the car... also, since the car was 10 years old the hose that attaches to the nozzle didn't want to come apart to easily so I really had to tug...sorry, I don't have any pics, otherwise I'd try to show you in a tutorial...

You could try, but it might be too thick, the nozzle has a pretty small hole.I had tried using a needle (for thread) but my problem was more in the actual nozzle, where I had to run the warm water, then blow air thru it...

sorry man, I should have looked at this earlier.. I had my car in the shop afterwork, and could have easily looked to see what's up with the nozzle... I'm at work now.. but if no one has ideas later, I can probably take a look at it when I get home. and let you know... I'll check back later today to see if anyone was able to help...

i'm having an issue with mine too. the driver's side isn't spraying all the time. might just be too cold and the line is getting plugged by being frozen. might try to take it out and clean it. also, how does one get the head shield off so i can get access to the line and the sprayer? i've already ripped it a bit trying to get it off once before.

I haven't done this yet (haven't had to, haven't had time to look at it) If I get bored this weekend I'll probably look into it.

I looked at the plastic pins that hold the mat on the hood (the fabric cover)These pins are a real pain to take off! I broke one trying and decided not to mess with it. I had a tool that has a prong on either side that slides under the pin to pry it up, but what happens is the pins have a ridge in them to keep them in place. So when you pry on it you pretty much break one of the little tabs.If you plan on taking that cover off, my suggestion would be to get some new pins right away if you plan on putting the cover back on...Or try to get the right tool that would allow you to take the pins out without breaking them.. Sorry no pics, but it was a no-go for me.

These nozzles are not adjustable. They can be easily removed by forcing a credit card between the hood and the rubber gasket. You can see the locking tabs in the attached photo. They cost about $35.00 CDN each so it is worth removing them and trying to clean them.

.............used for annoying tailgaters...........Hey, that's the excuse I give cops when pulled over for tailgating.........."officer, I was only trying to catch up to the car in front of me to take advantage of the free car wash"

If the nozzle isn't adjustable, then how did melders adjust his? Was the nozzle sprayer possibly partially blocked by something that caused it to hit the top of the windshield? It's way too cold to go out and investigate this right now.

The rubber grommet can get worn and sit funny, or you can add/trim/shim to get the desired spray path!
