It has come to the time that I am in need of new tires. I talked to the wife on the options. Since needing new tires I was thinking of getting some rims with them or I keep the stocks, get new tires and a new paint job. Paint job consist's of silver, black, blue, and red. What should I do?

It's kinda your opinion on this one...I know for me, a chipped/peeled/dented finish ALWAYS bothers me...it depresses me to walk up to, or look out on, my car and see crappy paint. If I had the money to spend, I would repaint my car in a heartbeat (though given my new year's accident, I think my 6 is being almost fully painted lol). But if your paint is in good condition and doesn't bother you, new wheels are nice too!

i say rims and the tires, just cause i've seen your car and i dont think theirs anything wrong with the paint, besides with a nice set of tires and stuff ppl wont notice the paint, they'll be looking down instead

i say rims. a custom paint job with 4 colors would look odd with stock rims imo. do you have a photoshoped pic of the paint scheme?good to see you around

Do yu have 3 to 4 thousand for a good paint job? And the time to leave the car in a body shop for at least a coulle weeks? If no I say rims for sure... Rims will cost you less time and money anyway.

i'd say rims no matter what..paint aint worth the time or money, unless your paint was fading big time or peeling off then it's more of a logical thing but if not then get rims, better handling, better traction, and looks alot better

The cost for the rims will be about the same for the piant. I know a hot rod restorer that will do the paint for a grand. Well know guy around the area.As far as tires, I am not sure what I am going to get. Any suggestions would be good. The rims will probably black and silver.

If you're worried about resale value: get the rimsIf you want the car to look better: get the paint. Vibe paint is bad anyway. Whatever you get will be better than what's on it.

alright Mike, got the pm and the pics, pics of the vibe were a lil small so made them abit bigger, got the 3 rims you were interested in, had trouble with the back rims cause of the different size of the rim and weird angle.but here it goes these were the 3 rims that mike chosehope you enjoy them, personally i like the MSW rims(2nd picture), the 3rd is good aswell but i find its to much silver so need abit of a break

Definitely do the wheels. Not only will they really change the look, but they also will not hurt the resale value of the car. The wheels can always go back to stock, but getting a car totally repainted will most likely hurt your resale value.

"That paint color will hurt the resale."In the end, if you are the one living with it, you do it how you want. We fix and paint our house in the sense that we can always put it back to market conditions at the time.So long as he's prepared to put it back to market conditions, or accept the reduced buyer base, it's his call.

What kind of tires are recommended for our cars and what size.Looking for a smoother ride and handling.

You're going to get the smoothest ride on a 16" rim with a touring tire - Kuhmo Solus, Pirelli P4, BF Goodrich Traction T/A are all good choices and less expensive, but you lose a little handling ability. You'll probably do better for handling with a 17" rim because it's a lower profile tire, but you'll give up a little ride comfort. It's a trade off. Stock Sizes:16" Tire P205/55-1617" Tire P215/50-17
