I, too, am a new Vibe. Three weeks now. Base Lava, Nav system, Power pkg. I get a lot of looks and impressions from people about the car. Funny thing, the dealership got a GT right after I purchased this one! Anyways, I am getting 28mpg around town. I have not done a roadtrip yet. Everytime I drive it, I grow more impressed with it.

Congratulation on your new Vibe and welcome to the forum! Where you originally looking to get a GT? I love mine. I planned ahead and ordered it though. It was worth the wait.

I am afraid to admit that I don't know how to drive a stick but I was going to learn if I could have found a GT. Oh well, I am very pleased with my purchase. I have a question about the supercharger (I know this the wrong forum). Wouldn't it reduce mpg?

I'm not an expert, but I would assume a supercharger would have a negative impact on fuel consumption. Not sure to what degree. It would have a positive impact on almost every other aspect of the driving experience though.

under normal driving conditions, the supercharger should not have much impact on fuel mileage. the motor will have to turn the belt that runs it, but that should not hurt much. under higher rpm's it might affect it some, because a supercharger gives the motor more air, which in turn you will need more fuel to mix with that air. i still would not expect to see a huge difference under any circumstances.
