MagnaFlow exhaust system-is it worth it?

I was considering getting the whole MagnaFlow exhaust system for my Vibe. Is it worth it? I know I will be spending around $400 for the system plus installation if I don't install it myself. I know that it would give the car a better sound but what about performance? MPG? Also, how hard is it to install yourself? Can it be done with normal tools? Or is there any cutting and/or welding involved? Thanks in advance for the info!

I bought one and enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money spent. Its a cat back exhaust system you don't need to weld on. You will need to cut your stock one off. This one can attached with muffler brackets if you don't want to weld it on. It sounds great. On idle and even cruising its a low rumble. When your on it, it sounds really nice. I can't say if it gave better fuel mileage because I had a couple other things including a heavy foot on my Vibe that prevented me from ever really getting good mileage. The thing to keep in mind is that it does add some noticeable power to the car, it takes away some of your low end torque. I found combining the exhaust with a cold air intake system worked very well. Its easy to do yourself if you have access to exhaust pipe cutting tools to get the stock exhaust out.here is a sample of how it sounded.btw that was a loss to a 12.9 second family legacy sedan GT lol

the magnaflow is the best system for the vibe imo. we did a lot of research before buying it from Neverenoughauto.combest price shipped that I've found thus far not to mention a great vendor/guy. After going a/m exhaust on our past few cars, I'm a believer in what it can do for the power when used with supporting mods (like CAI) or engine management.

+1 for magnaflow, if I would do my vibes exhaust, it would be a ported exhaust manifold (sitting in my closet waiting to be ported), down pipe, then the full magnaflow cat back.

Magnaflow is a good exhaust. The reason I decided on it was because it wasn't to loud, and it was a full cat-back system, one of the few at the time.Hey North,I wouldn't waste any time or money porting our 1zz header,go with a celica 1zz header,it has a way better design and yields the most ponies.

Ok, you guys have me convinced. MagnaFlow is the way to go. Now the big question. What is the best vendor to get it from? I think I'm going to have it installed as that I don't have the required tools to do it myself. Any suggestions on where to get a good price on it?

http://www.neverenoughauto.com/index.phpthey usually have good prices, install real easy from what ive read. You just need a cutting device, like a dremel or hack saw thingy...mmm i bet theres a write up on the site with pics.

I think I would be happy with the cat back system. Don't want to put TOO much money in her!
