So it looks like even Ford recognizes where they've made mistakes.http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING....htmlNow, let's see if they actually come up with anything better or if they botch it again. Still, it's progress.

I would say their biggest mistake is not putting their good cars on boats, i.e. the European Focus. The Fusion sells well but isn't my cup of tea and a seems a little small when compared to the Accord and Camry. The Edge is probably their best at the moment, decent looking car and it seems to be selling very well. They just need to beef up the brakes on it slightly cause with the V6 power it seems a little heavy to stop quick.

HAHA. It does resemble Homer Simpson in that shot. In reality, I never thought it was a bad looking vehicle though. Ford can at least feel good about offering a Hybrid SUV that actually delivers good mileage. They need to focus on doing the same to the Fusion.

I read that article today and laughed. Good stuff. The Five Hundred has been a letdown since the beginning, slapping on a ton of fake chrome and the Taurus name hasn't done much to spice things up.

As a Ford Stockholder (1,500 shares) I thought two of their biggest recent mistakes were-1. Botching the T-Bird reincarnation. They needed a $20,000 PT Cruiser type vehicle appealing to nostalgia, not a $40,000 muscle car.2. Not pushing the Focus Wagon - only offered the wagon in the higher trim line. Few dealers even had a wagon in stock.
