not sure on tire width, however RK Sport made a kit to remove the roof rails.

A wider tire isn't going to help you much, as it gets wider, it will start to "crown" so the law of diminishing returns somes into effect... I had 225/45-16 in my Subie and after I went back to stock size I could tell an improvement in handling... 215/50-16 would change much for you, it's 1cm wider that what you have... 2nd what AKLGT said on the roof rails...

A couple of us have the RKSport carbon fiber covers. I'm not so impressed with the fitment though. But I do like them more than the roof racks.

Unfortunatley, its a pain to get them, as aerogear went out of business. I have them on order, but they have to be made and shipped direct from their factory in Hong Kong. They will not arrive untill late March.

awesome i am probably gonna get the rk sport roof kit. wish they offered it in fiberglass though. feel kinda crappy paying 200 bucks for carbon fiber and painting over them. but i love everything to be color matched. got my tires by the way i got a set of fusion zri 205/55/16s. so far i am really happy with them, handle MMMUUUUCCCCHHHHH better than the continentals that were on it.

From what I have heard over the years sticking your feet out of the floor Fred Flintstone style would make the Vibe handle better than stock Connies.
