Ive built quite a few fiberglass boxes in the past for my other vehicle for shows and decided to make one for the vibe! Its going to hold a 15" Memphis sub and i built an amp rack recessed in the box. the amp will be fit into the hole with a plexiglass top bein lit from underneath.the box will be painted white and port is tuned to 35htz. I should have more pics as i progress more...lemme know what you think.

Very nice. I can't wait to see it in your vibe. I just bought a Mach 5 Audio MAW-15 for my ride. The enclosure is flared ported 3 cube ft tuned @ 32 hz. Kenny

SWEET...!!I sure hope you beef that box up a bit, but, considering you've done it before, I know you will... Your going to be rounding over the edges of that port yes?? If not you know you'll get a lot of noise from it, yes? I sure wish more people would share there installs and custom work more here... But, alas, there simple aren't that many people doing custom work to there Vibes... Keep the updates comming...

I can imagine that it's somewhat difficult to calculate proper port volumes with it opening up like that, yes? You going to round over the inside edge of that port?

nope i considered the wireing. that was a test fit to see how it fit and sounded. i have the wires goin to bolt that gothrough the back. i have 3 bolts coming out the back with nuts on them. i have ring connectors on rthe wires so i can just slip off the nut and attach the wires. like an easy dissconnect fot the power so i can leave the sub/amp wired up in the box.ill take a pic to explain.and i have a fiberglass tutorial website for the person who asked. i just have to find the link.

How many layers of glass have you put into that?? To me it looks like none? just "grill cloth" and bondo..??

by Twizted-Vibe
hell no, theres 7 layers of thick fiberglass mat on bottom and top layers are fiberglass cloth. then bondo. Box is strong as hell. Me and a buddy were sitting on it and didnt flex.
