I am a dog person. Have always had them....always will. In October 2007 I put one of my girls to sleep. I thought I would have some time to recover but last night I had to put one of my boys down. He was only 9 and that is about 4-5 years too young. He had developed a tumor in his cerebellum that was pressing down on his brain stem. We discussed radiation treatment as it had been successful on another dog but due to the location....it did not have a high probability of success. So here I am once more going through tissues like they were free. Those of you who are pet owners please hug your kids and let them know how important they are to you. Will

He's beautiful. I feel your pain, buddy. I honestly hope that God lets us take our pets to heaven with us. I can't imagine a paradise without them. I truly believe that God gave us dogs so we can experience unconditional love. Take care.

I am so sorry for your losses. Oh I so dread the day when my beautiful babies (fur babies - my cats) go on to the big milky way (because cats love Milk) in the sky. I lost my pet cat as a child to bone cancer - that was the saddest day of my life. He'd been with me since I was born (so 15 years at that point). My pets are everything to me. They are more a part of my family that most of my blood relatives.

Thanks for all the kind words. I believe we will see our pets in the 'next life'. If not, I do not plan on going :-)Jared, you have my sympathy when that day comes.

It's a tough thing to go through, I had to put my 2 year old cat down... it's just something you can't get over.

Will, sorry to hear about your loss of Ryser. My heart goes out to you. I'm all choked up now. I'll give my babies a hug in memory of Ryser.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss!! Thats a terrible thing to go through. When i worked in a vet clinic I saw it a few times a week and it broke my heart every time.I look at it this way... would it be Heaven without them? I think that we will have our pets there with us if it wouldnt be Heaven without them.I lost my best friend (touch-n-purr) in June, I still miss him and his roomie (stormy) misses him too I can just tell that he is still sad sometimes about it. It was really sudden, and he was old but i thought still in good health. I'm just really glad that I didnt have to have him put down, that is a decision i hope i never have to make. All anyone can do is be thankful for the time that they had with the animal. They are a blessing in our lives.I am truly sorry about Ryser!

That you K-NINE, for putting those words into my mouth...I don't do well with these types of things, finding the proper words is, well, almost impossible for me... My condolenses to you and your family...
