It's currently -4 here in Duluth Minnesota, just wondering how it is in other places?

I just got home, and the car said it was a nice balmy 6 outside. But we are also having crazy wind going on right now, so with wind chill it feels like -15 F.

Well it got down to -18°F but it has warmed up a little to a brisk -16°F. Today is going to be a long underwear day. Today is the kind of day when you could take a cup of boiling water and throw it up in the air outside and it would freeze before it hit the ground. lol.

About 3 degrees outside early this am - but 18 degrees in my attached but unheated garage. No problem starting with my new 600+ CCA Battery.Main problem was a frozen water pipe in the upstairs bathroon - was running just a trickle so not frozen absolutely solid - able to thaw it out with a hair dryer. Doesn't appear to be any leak/rupture of the line. It is a good six inches from the outside wall but I think there is an issue of lack of insulation in that wall in the joist area between the 1st and second floor. I have a flood light in a clip on metal shrouded work light aimed at the pipes for this evening. Wife is sleeping downstairs as she is afraid of fire - it really isn't that hot - I can easly touch the fixture and all of the areas around it. In a month we are remodeling that bathroom so we can add insulation to it at that time.

You know its a good day when the HIGH is -5!! Note to self: Don't move to Minnesota! I thought Indiana was cold! Weather bug tells me that as of 3:03 am Tuesday morning its 31 F. It's been in single digits the past few days though. My Grandma was complaining that she had to wear a jacket one day, it was 57F in FLorida, i said I dont wanna hear it, its 6F here!!
It was sad this morning as I was pulling out of our garage, watching the temp drop from 19°F to -4°F (Garage isn't insulated) It got UP to 0° by the time I parked at work. They said the wind chill was -21°.
I assume all you people up North and in Alaska have block heaters. It's only 21 here in CT but wind chills make it colder. Aside from that I'm lucky that my car sits in the parking garage all day about 3 stories underground. Still cold in the 30's and low 40's so the car needs to warm up, but better than bein outside when its 20.

Actually ours is a humid cold. It is 93% humidity here. And yes, block heaters are required by law here. lol. It is usually 5°-10° warmer in my garage than it is outside. So that helps a little.

Gonna be a nice day here in SD too. It started out in the mid 30°'s on my way to work this morning. Sounds like it should be in the mid 40's to almost 50. But it sounds like it's just for today here, too. Highs in the single digits tomorrow for the area.
Quote, originally posted by BlueCrush »It is forecast to be 45°F for the high today. But the forecast for tomorrow night is -17°F. Gotta love a 62° Minnesota temperature swing. hahahabc, tomorrow in chicago it starts around 40, but by the wed morning, it will be hovering around 0. youch.

I really put them though their paces. No point on starting the Vibe so I just left it alone.
