Wanna see what the differences are in color, I've seen pics on the net and know 8k is bluer and 6k is like a pure white. But how blue is 8 and what is the preference. I'm goin more for visibility but with a somewhat legal coloring. I am lookin to finally after talkin for years do this and put my HIRs in my fog lamps.

If my memory serves me correctly, this was an 8000k kit. Fogs are halogens:

depending on what type of climate you are in, if you have a lot of rain in your area, don't go with 8K because the blue hue makes it difficult to see wet blacktop. 6K is about the most you'd want to go. I have 5K and love them. Great for the snow and winter and I can still see the wet blacktop/roads just fine.

I'm thinkin 6k. Kinda has the best output and coloring for me. Not to flashy and bling, but good enough for use in weather and where I drive (lots of dark backroads, no lights on the highway I take home at night)Not to mention I have deer everywhere, even on my street. My HIRs are awesome but I would love HIDs and for $75, can't go wrong. Plus with HIRs in my fogs instead it would make my yellow even brighter, and look hot!

once you upgrade your headlights you will want to do the fogs. with a 3000k... talk about yellow with your overlays... (removed)...

Considering HIRs are 80% the light output of an HID I probably won't go that far.
