So Ken got a new custom built gorgeous machine. He brought it over to show me today. It was a custom conversion made on a 2003 Corvette C5. The entire body is carbon fiber. It has 650 supercharged horsepower! I looooove how it looks. Here are a few pics and a video:

This particular Vette cost $75,000 plus the cost of the doner car. So $75,000 plus the cost of the C5 he bought. He founded and owned Metropolitan Title Insurance Company here in MI. Just sold it a few years ago along with all the profit he's made over the last 30 years and other investments. Has over 100 cars now. He's doing those 1953 Corvette conversions on 2003 Vettes as well. He is also working with Reeves Calloway on the Calloway Corvettes. He was at Pebble Beach for the unveiling of the New Calloway C16 Corvette and it was featured in Auto Week I believe with him in it. He also just did an interview with the Wall Street Journal about his Lamborghini Reventon he has coming in soon. He's getting a new "RAW" form of the Calloway C12 Corvette which is all raw exposed carbon fiber kinda like that Pagani Zonda they had that was un painted carbon fiber.....and yes he's still dating my mom HAHAA. I had a chance to drive this Vette yesterday but I wasn't able to get home in time. He had to go check on his NEW conversion car which is: The bottom half of a 1968 Camaro and the roof and top half of a 1967 Corvette.

I wish that I was dating him. The only give away is the C5 roof. I would like to see that car as a convertible. Please Lord, please let me win the lottery.

Usually I'm not big on the conversion cars... but wow, this one is done right, and looks WAY good. Especially w/the video when you get to see it go down the road....Quote, originally posted by MRCN RCE »i'm curious... out of all the cars he's got, has he been able to get his "dream car", and which one is it??Ditto! Excellent question

Does he need any help at work? I can polish shoes, fetch water, read him the paper in the morning. I make a good notetaker.

He already has a mechanic that stays at the warehouse all the time and works around and with all his cars including the Enzo and Veyron! I wouold die for that job.I dunno what his dream car was but I know he bought a '68 Camaro Z28 that is a mirror to his very first car as a kid. He also has a Jaguar E Type which was one of his very first car goals he set for himself.

Without seeing it in person that has to be one of the cleanest conversion kits that I have seen. Other companies make them but they all look off.

Yes, especially since it's all carbon fiber.

This is super sweet Merz! Awesome! I have seen kits like this but not this exact one! This is great! He can do mine next! Crap, he could not do mine because it looks like he uses a 2003 Z06 since it has a fixed roof. Mine is a coupe with a removable roof but I suppose mine could be made into a split window!

lol, I'll see if he's interested. You could sell yours and buy one of his!I told him he should try a '63 conversion. I loooove '62 Vettes but the new '63 bnody style is my all time favorite Corvette ever.
