When I bought my 2003 in Jan. 2003 I took advantage of a GM Card offer to top off my $750 rebate balance to $2003. Adding in a $2,000 rebate and a $1,050 discount I got that Vibe for $13,631 + tax and title fees. Now in Jan 2008 they are again offering tio top it off to $2,000. Not quite as good a deal since my current rebate balance is $1,288.Assuming a $1,000 disc, $2,000 in reg rebates (is that correct?) and this $2,000, that is $5,000 off MSRP. I think I could sell my 2003 AT Power Pkg 29,650 miles, tires replaced at 20,000 mi., privately for at least $9,000. Tempting.

I checked pontiac.com and the rebate on the 2008 Vibe appears to be only $1,250. In that case - I am no longer very tempted, though Vibrator08 said he got $3,000 off (discount & rebate).Recently got a post card from my dealer offering "$1,000 over Kelly Blue Book Fair Trade-in Value." I think a lot of people assume "fair" means the opposite of "unfair" whereas it really means a car that probably is below average condition.
