For the past couple of days my '03 Vibe / 29,000 miles - appears to be causing a moderate to strong gasoline odor when parked in the garage. No recent service. I see nothing leaking on the floor. The gas cap is on tight. When driving the car I do not note any gasoline smell inside the car. The reason I think it is from the Vibe is that after taking a Christmas day trip that kept us out from about noon until 11 pm the gasoline odor seemed faint. After the Vibe was sitting in the garage from 11 pm last night this evening it again seems moderate to strong. I am leaving it out tonight and will check the odor tomorrow. It had a reasonably full tank of gas when this was first noticed but not full to the brim.Anyone have any ideas as to the possible source?

Do you have any small engine tools in the garage like snow blower or lawn mower? If it's on teh Vibe and nothings leaking in the engine bay or on the floor, I can't think of where it would be coming from unless there is a hose off of something like the emissions box? When I removed the emissions scrubber thing off my Ducati I got the same thing fora little while but not anymore.
