I am pretty sure that New York State would somehow find that illegal if I rigged up that contraption.

theres a saftey hazard waiting to get a ticket... Here in Co and up in MN any kinda "distractions" are deamed illegal and they can/will give you a ticket while they make you take em down.

here in pa they are considered interior lights. Nothing the police can do about it... same thing for neons lights... on the inside they are legal... on the outside not legal.I have asked several state and local cops and all have said the same thing... you could run in to a stick in the mud though and they can try and damper your holiday
