Has anyone ever had the XM Satellite Pioneer Inno installed in their Vibe? I'm just wondering where the unit and antenna are mounted. Thanks!

Hey I just got one of these for xmas, wifey bought it for while riding my motorcycle. i have been using it in the vibe using the ear phones/home antenea, and wondering if the car adapter setup is worth the $70. Any advice on the FM modulator thing would be appreciated.

So as far as I can tell, you HAVE to buy the car kit, because it won't work without the sureconnect. It wasn't hard to install. The sureconnect easily attaches to the antenna and there is enough cabling to run it down the passenger side of the car to the dashboard. I mounted the antenna onto the dash using the included velcro and ran the cable along the front of the windshield down the drivers side under the dash and connected to the sureconnect. I'm currently using the included vent mount for the inno unit to the vent just to the right of the steering wheel, but I had to turn the vent upside down for it to actually hold on. It's relatively stable, but when things warm up abit around here (upstate NY) I'll probably use the permanent mount for more stability.

Thanks Flintsone, I guess it is time to buy the car kit.

I installed mine on the left side of the dash on one of the blanks of the 4 buttons above the storage bin, i re arranged the buttons to where the rear glass button is on the far right. the low air reset button (does anyone ever use this thing?) i then epoxeyed the mount to one of the blanks while i drilled a hole in the 4th for the wiring I'll get a few pix of this and post. the antenna I mounted right in front of the defroster vent with the wire between the vent and the vent opening. Up until a few weeks ago i just had it down on the center console, hard to drive and change channels.
