So I moved back from Wyoming (crap hole) to Texas (yay!) and as I started to get back into my region (dallas) my car did something amazing, It became quick again...When I was in Wyoming, the elevation where I lived was 7220ft, back in dallas its a whole crapload lower, I think it has something to do with that...but seriously...my car feels like someone dropped a v8 into it, it actually has torque, it pulls really hard, and its actually fun to drive again! it was really weak up there and it took a decade to accelerate and wouldnt maintain speed on the highway...I love my vibe again! man i love air!

That's what happens when you go play in the mountains. My house is about 5800 ft, and when I go play in California it sure is nice. Just wait till you take all the crap out of the back and then see how much fun it is to drive!

supposed to be a lot of oil wells in Texas, maybe it's not the altitude, maybe the gas in WYoming is stale compared to the freshly pumped stuff in Texas

FYI, the general rule of thumb is that a naturally aspirated engine loses approximately 3%of it's HP per 1,000 ft of elevation gained. So for your elevation change, you were probably only at about 132 HP at the flywheel.
