How does the base model price compare to '08?"Pontiac sold more than 410,000 vehicles in 2006, ranking third among GM divisions in total sales."First is Chevy. Who is second? Saturn?

Pontiac cuts $1,500 off base price of Vibe, starts under $16khttp://www.autoblog.com/2007/1...r-16k/Pontiac released the pricing details on the 2009 Vibe today, and when the wagon/CUV hits dealers this February you'll be able to drive off in the base model for $15,895 (including destination fee) – a significant drop from the '08 model's $17,395 cost of entry. The all-wheel-drive equipped Vibe will come in at just under $20k at $19,495, while the GT model is priced at $19,895. Both the GT and AWD versions come with the Toyota-sourced 158 hp 2.4-liter inline four. Not a bad deal, especially considering that all models come standard with four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, StabiliTrak traction control, OnStar and six airbags.

GMC rules. The Ford ads say the top selling selling truck in America but when you combine Chevy and GMC (same truck) they out sell Ford by quite a bit.

That pricing should goose sales. If course aside from the roof rack we don't know what now std equipment will be options in 2009. The AT will remain an option, e.g. $1,000 maybe; the power package also, e.g. $1,000. So we're still looking at $17,895. The MSRP on a 2003 with AT & Power Pkg was $18,365. No roof rack but four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, StabiliTrak traction control, OnStar and six airbags. If all else more or less stays the same this is a good deal. I need to jack up my GM Card use and go back to work to get some $$$ to buy a 2009. I was thinking of a Honda CRV as it really wasn't much more than a similarly equipped Vibe.
