The joys of home ownership.I know you'll laugh at me for saying this, but Ikea is not a bad place to check out.(if you have one down there,eh)Wal-Mart also have basic blinds. The big reno stores(home-depot,Lowes)are good places to check out for sales on ceiling fans it all depends on style.

Well I got the blinds. 11 blinds for $50 from Lowes. Just need to find the ceiling fans now. I did check Wally World and found a couple, but I want more options. I will check Ikea.

If you pick up the ceiling fan from Ikea pick up extra bulbs. The last I heard from the Phillips rep at work they (ikea) were the only supplier for their line of ligt fixtures.

Wally World is Wal-Mart.And you are right, no fans through Ikea. I really did not like anything they had.As far as ceiling fan. For the living room. 52" blades in a dark wood, up and down light, with remote. For the master bedroom. 42" or 52" blades, dark wood, down light.

Another thing I am looking for is some kind of entertainment stand for the components to my home theater. The TV is going on the wall, so all I need is something with a 1 shelf and then a top, with maybe a couple doors on it. Something about 2 feet high and 5 feet wide.

If you have a Menards you should try them. they have really great prices. My parents added on a master bedroom/bathroom and we got a lot of the stuff from Menards because it was cheaper. they may have a website I'm not sure. Good Luck!

we just went shopping for an armoire, went to all the big furntiture stores, but found one we liked at Target. It probably wouldn't be as strong as a solid wood one, but at a 3rd of the cost, and I'm not looking at moving it... it should be fine. It actually was the most appealing for looks... So you could also try somewhere like Target...

oh, and for the fan: Menards/Home Depot/Lowes will be your best bet. They'll have probably the biggest selections, and probably have some on sale at this time...

It'll match the other furniture and only need one or two components to sit on the top shelf.

For the TV, I have mine mounted on the wall with an Ikea Bonde unit underneath holding the components - DVD player, receiver and cable box. I got it in medium brown. Yeah, $219 isn't the cheapest you can find, but it definitely fits the bill. Also has storage for DVDs..

you bought blinds and haven't even moved in yet... hope you know the correct sizeI have bought window treatments from
http://www.blair.com and
http://www.jcp.comI just bought these
http://www.blair.com/webapp/wc...38375in merlot for our dinning room and living room and camel for our master bedroom. They are about the cheapest roman shade I have found with a liner "backing" and a "shear" second layer... basicly it's two shades in one.

TV, reciever, and speakers for $1600, yesterday was furniture for $4500.
