factory souvenir

I just got a new Vibe, (silver base model, 5-speed) and when I got it home I really looked it over. I was checking out the underside, tapping on things, and heard a rattle. It was right next to a white plastic plug, about under the left rear floor pan. I pulled the plug and fished around in there and found a US "kentucky" quarter. The car's too new for the quarter to have worked it's way down from the top. I wonder if it's a personal touch from someone at the factory.

That's possible joatman, I hope that doesn't happen to me when I get mine! Thanks for the post though!

It probably fell out of someone's pocket on the assembly line. I worked at Flint Truck & Bus a few years ago, and many of the jobs require the workers to get into some odd positions during assembly, (and if you would have dropped a quarter out of your pocket, not alot of time to look for it before your next job came by).Carl
