FYI:The Yokos have a "Best" rating from Discount Tire. Customers have given an average of 3.5 / 5. Here's some reviews:http://www.discounttire.com/dt...OKPT5The Pirellis also have a "Best" rating from Discount Tire. Customers have given an average of 5 / 5, yet there is only one reviewer who has provided input.http://www.discounttire.com/dt...IRPT3The Yokos have a treadlife of 80k miles and the Pirelli's have 85k.The Pirellis are rated 760/A/B/RThe Yokos are rated 700/A/B/TRThe Pirellis will last longer, but the Yokos are radial construction - that will improve fuel economy over the Pirellis. For what it's worth, both tires will be pretty loud.

If I had to vote for either tire it was the Pirelli, I'm bias, b/c I've had Yoko's before (not avid's) and they wore out WAY faster than they should have. Yes the car was aligned correctly, and I have heard from other people that they usually wear faster than what they say. I've also had Dunlop FM901's... a great tire, but again they wear really fast, grip like a mofo... I was way happier with the BFG's.I think the Pirelli's would be a good tire.

Ended up with the pirellis... I guess they got better overall reviews and scored excellent in deep snow traction. They go on tomorrow... if we actually get some snow I will let you know how they do.

God I wish I lived back in Buffalo right about now, or better yet, back in Burlington VT... I haven't even THOUGHT about my snowboard gear yet... we won't be on the "hills" for another month...
