Is this going to replace the Tiberon.

Yup, more than likely it will be replacing the Tiburon... Seeing how all the Hyundai models over the last few years have either been entirely new or extensively redesigned and the Tibby only received a minor facelift, I'm guessing that was just to hold themselves over for a couple years. This car may even be the Tiburon, haven't heard much on what the actual name for the production version is going to be. I saw the Genesis sedan at the NY auto show, it was a beautiful car... It has an available V8 though, over 300 HP, so I figured it would have made it into its 2-door sibling as well but that doesn't seem to be the case. A lot of the spy reports were pointing to a V8 available. If the six itself has 300 HP, that's probably good enough for most. At any rate, that's quite a jump from the 170-whatever HP the current V6 front driver Tibby has.

More Pictures from the LA Auto Show. This is not the Tiburon replacement, as it fits into the same size as the G37 and Z. It is the Genesis Sedan's coupe version and is aimed at putting Hyundai into play against the likes of Infiniti. So they created a coupe as well to go nose to nose with the G37. Should be interesting, they claim 300hp out of a V6, nice!

I'll believe it, when I see it.I like the concept look, it's one that I'll have to see in person to really critique.

i'm not too fond of the look of the hood with with the row of scoops...but if it WAS a replacement for the tiburon, then it would fit, being the tiburon name means shark... and those would be its gills. blah blah blah.other than that, suweet car. and its a nice fusion orange to boot!

Very nice! I think it would look much better had it have a different hood installed and matched the rest of the car, but aside from that it's great. Looks like this won't be the Tibby, but I hear they're going to keep a front drive coupe around as well. They're hinting around something based off the Veloster concept.

I think this car is making a favorable impression with what all I've read so far. Sounds good, the more I read about it the more I can't wait to see it. Wouldn't buy one though, too sporty.
