Once I found out about the counterfeit springs, I decided not to buy them off ebay. Neverenoughauto.com has the Teins for a really good price, and thats where I ended up getting mine. I couldn't be happier.

I bought a set of counterfeits off Ebay. I got a full refund including return shipping when I threatened legal action. I too bought from Neverenough after that.

When I got my Tein's off of ebay (it was like 5-6 years ago) I didn't know they had counterfit ones out there!I looked at the link North had and it is good that you can tell the difference, mine ended up being the real thing, but wow, there should be some legal action going down with that. You're talking about someone's saftey.

Thanks for the post, I guess I will skip buying springs on Ebay. I do have another question about springs though. If I change my springs will I have to change the struts and shocks at the same time or can I wait and change the at around 50k mi.

You can keep the stock struts until they blow out. I have had my car on lowering springs for almost 1.5 yrs with no issue on stock struts.

My left front strut is gone with 62,000 miles of hard driving on Quebec minefield roads. That's 150,000 miles of combined driving on 2 Vibes with Tein springs and that's the first problem. Pretty good I'd say. I'm going with Tokico for replacements.

yeah duluth must be like canada, the roads ride like mine fields. I like my hotchkis they look good, but for usability i would get TRD springs if I knew i was gonna be living here. even with a 2 inch drop, snow was never a issue.

Talk about bad roads, we got 'em here in Michigan like you wouldn't believe. I have to drive around like a drunken idiot all day to avoid the potholes that are so deep you can't even see the bottom of them. Then they fill them with a couple scoops of disgusting patch that flings up all over the side of my car. I just love that.

The website you guys have listed only has H-techs for sale right now. Did they at one time sell the S-techs? Whats the drop difference? I am not looking for anything crazy, but the H-techs sound OK too...
