Anyone know what modification to do in order to keep the air conditioner from turning on as soon as a defrost setting is selected ? I know this is done by manufacturers to help defogging the window in wet weather but I would like to disable this automatic selection and only have the air turn on when I manually select it.TIASteve

When I did it, I used the info on vibeowner's website, I think it is in his hidden features page

just hit the air conditioning button. It will turn off the compressor. Or you could take the radio bezel off and unplug a wire.. Which wire you ask.. LOL i forget being it's been so long ago since I did it.But if hitting the button don't work for you let me know and I can pop off the bezel and snap a photo for ya.

I visited the VibeOwner site but for some reason, the photos did not show at all. I can only guess that the E stands for a connector to be taken off. Any photos would be appreciated.I will modify my Vibe as soon a I have this info.TIA
