Wifey had emergency dental surgery this morning, her third wisdom tooth was absessed and needed to be removed. Two others were removed a couple of years ago.We got into the office at 8:15am, signed the forms, they took her in at 8:30, then they came and got me at 9:00.She was alseep, so they took me up to pay the bill, and it came to $520.00. (no tax)For 30 minutes of work.Let's see...... that's.......ummm.....ok......over $1000 AN HOUR!Sure, the supplies and stuff (anaesthetic, bandages etc) cost money, but still, that's a lot of money for such a quick procedure.It cost me a little over $4000 to get my teeth straightened with braces, but that was over two or three years, and I even had a couple of teeth pulled to make room for the straightening.

More of that money goes to the anesthesiologist more than anything.My friend's mom is one and she makes ridiculous loot. The gas is expensive and if given in the wrong portions with the slightest mishap, death occurs. Not to bring ya down.I had all mine pulled when I was like 19. Mmmm a week of frosties from Wendy's.I'm surprised your dental doesn't cover it, unless you just have basic. Currently I the basic since I'm younger and never had a cavity, but in a few years I'll upgrade.
