Rotor removal

I'm in the process of replacing pads and rotors. We've got everything off but the rotors, and are having a heck of a time getting them off. Is there a trick, or something holding them on that we're not seeing? Or do we just have to continue with the elbow grease?

Thanks for the replies. We had been beating the crap out of it with no luck before I decided to post this. The father-in-law was helping, and was trying all kinds of angles of prying and pounding with no luck. Finally he found the magic combination of hammer and a giant chisel from behind. I honestly can't say the precise secret, because I wasn't the one that did it. After the secret was known, he got the second one to pop right off.So, I can say with certainty that there is no secret or pieces to pull of. Just plenty of elbow grease and a little luck.
