Did I spend too much?

I have a 2005 AWD with 35,000 miles on it. I plan on keeping it for a long time so I've been a little more aggressive in the maintenance then the recommended intervals. I get oil changes every 5000 miles with Mobil-1 and tires rotated at the same time (replaced with Tripletreads at 20,000 miles). Anyway, I went in last night and got the transfer case fluid changed and rear differential fluid changed as well as the Mobil-1 oil change. The total came to about $240 at my local Pontiac dealership. I was actually fairly happy with the price because they originally quoted me a price that was much higher and I was a little reluctant at first but I've read some of the horror stories around here about some of the AWD problems about people who waited too long to mind the trasfer case and rear-diff.so, did I pay too much? and if so, what would be a fair price and is there any reputable shop in the Sterling Heights/Warren/Utica area that people would recommend? Thanks,Mike

Coming from a guy who lives in a transmission shop, seems reasonably priced. Take care of that tranny.

if you figure you had synthetic for your oil change.. I don't think it was too bad.

I'll be doing a tranny fluid change soon. I am gonna head to my local guy that I know and get a tranny flush and have them do the rear dif. as well. Which reminds me, I gotta check my coolant/antifreeze before the winter gets here.

Thanks for all the input. I'm actually pretty happy with the price. I'm probably gonnna get the transmission fluid changed with the next oil change and maybe the radiator after that. It should be paid off within the next year or so and my wife probably won't let me have a new car for quite awhile so I have to keep this running properly.MIke
