Aftermarket alarm question

Post by kmvibe »

Is there any aftermarket car alarm system that can be added the existing factory remote keyless entry? I would like to use my current factory remote. I just want to add an aftermarket alarm system. Thanks in advance,Kenny

I don't know of any that will work that way. Most of the aftermarket alarms will provide you with a new key fob that will disarm, and can, unlock/lock the doors. You can also have the dealer of the alarm program the key fob to open/close sunroofs. The more features it has, the more expensive. Besides, I don't know of anyone who is really attached to the stock Pontiac/Toyota key fob we are supplied with.
