Hi everybody,My current Goodyear RSA tire are making my Vibe unstable and prone to hydro-planning. It's also unstable when cornering.I have only put on 16,000 km on the RSA and the tire thread is used about 50% according to tire guy I talked to. That's terrible!Anyway, I have been thinking about the following tires as replacement:I am looking for all-season tire that will resist hydro-planning and be good on dry and wet pavement and bit of snow. I have my own set of winter tires. I also want a tire that will not affect my mileage tooAnyway, here's goes:- Goodyear Assurance Triple Thread - very pricey- Michelin HydroEdge - also pricey- Yoko Avid TRZ - (heard coming that they're heavy(affects mileage) and noisy- BridgeStone Torrenza EL400- Pirelli P4- Nexon N5000 (wal-mart) cheap, not many reviews.What would be better ? The cheapest is the Nexon, next the Perelli, etcI live in small town in NB Canada, so my choice are limitedLet me know what you thinkAny advice would be appreciated and welcomed

have you checked your tire pressures? over inflation can cause you to have issues with stability or hydroplaning. i had RS-As on the vibe - and just had some put on my G6 - and liked them a lot for a factory tire.that being said, are you looking for an all-season or summer tire? if you're looking only for a summer tire, look at kumho ecstas. fantastic tires, and they cost me the same as the RS-As did.

try yokohamas..they're good and not pricey

Is the TripleTred really pricey in the long run? They're an 80K tread life tire and ours, now with 21k miles, still look new. (225/50/16)

I just put a set of Pirelli P4's on a couple weeks ago. They ride nice and smooth. I hit heavy rain a couple times already and they handled great.

I got the Michelin HydroEdge from BJs. They weren't that expensive, and they have a 80,000 mile warranty. They are nice.

It was late when I posted last night, I was tired, let me give you a better review on the Pirelli's. The P4 is an All season touring tire, 85,000 mile treadwear warranty. I have a little over 1,000 miles on them so far. I had to drive through a torrential downpour the day I put them on, maintained 65mph, absolutely no hydroplaning. They are much quieter than the Eagle RS-A's and absorb the bumps in the road much better. I can't comment on snow traction yet, but every review I read gave high praise for snow traction. A co-worker has them on his Sunfire and claims they are great in the snow. If cost is a factor, the P4's are a good bang for the buck. If you can spend a little more, I've heard great things about the Michelin Hydroedge and Goodyear Tripletread too.

I didn't notice any drop in gas mileage.As far as noise - depends on the surface. Some are louder, and most i don't notice any difference from the Goodyear RSAs.I don't use them in the Winter - i have snows.
