agreed, they could make his red pinstripe down the side be the "KIT light" Just think of all the goodies Kit could have with all that space in the back of a vibe.

Nobody can be David Hasselhoff except David Hasselhoff, that is sacrilage. And no car can be Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) but the Pontiac. Although the new Camaro in all black could be a hot candidate!!!

I've always liked KITT, but I never got too into it so I didn't even know (b/c it's been soooo long) what KITT stands for.

KITT was at one time a 1957 Chevy.

But looks like that car runs in street modified. But seriously how hard up is a station for shows they gotta bring back and possibly ruin a classic? And it does need to be a pontiac for sure.

Maybe they could use the GTO? Or a Solstice! I saw this one sexy beast in traffic, and then again in my city, a white Solstice with a bodykit and racing stripes....it was sweeeeeeeeeet!

Was watching the new American Gladiator show. They had a commercial for the new Knight Rider. Didn't show the car other then it wrapped in a sheet with the faint glow of red from the strobing light. Then that familer voice. "hello Micheal."I'd be more excited if it wasn't a mustang...

in this trailer it said hello mike...uhhh lame. well like stated in this or the other knight rider thread the original was a stang, then a trans am now a stang again. both cool cars imo, at least they stayed with a american muscle car and not some supra

If they're not bringing back Pontiac, and if they're not bringing back 'Hoff, I vote Colonel Panic as "Michael Knight"!!!

Looks like it's a go for a regular weekly show:
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/0...eries/NBC greenlights Knight Rider weekly seriesPosted Mar 31st 2008 4:24PM by Alex NunezThe Knight Rider TV movie was not good. The updated, Shelby Mustang-based KITT looked undeniably cool (when not in Ugly... er... Attack Mode, at least), but the acting was wooden and the writing was a horror show. Still, the ending completely set up a potential ongoing story. Today comes word that the ratings were apparently good enough for the suits to give a thumbs-up for a new weekly series starting this Fall. Early reports suggest a Friday night timeslot is in the works, but that's subject to change; all will be known on Wednesday when NBC presents its early upfronts. We'll assume that at the very least, stars Justin Breuning (Mike Traceur) and Deanna Russo (Mike Traceur's Girlfriend) will return to fill our flatscreens with emotionless line reading. And since voicing KITT should be a relatively easy payday for Val Kilmer, we'd expect him to reprise his role, as well. As for the Hoff, who walked on for a brief cameo at the end of the pilot, who knows? The big winner here is Ford, which now gets an hour-long weekly showcase for the Shelby GT500KR KITT. Based on the stupendously lousy pilot, however, we're going to put on our prognostication hats and set the over/under for this Knight Rider reboot at 10 episodes. Unless NBC ups the quality in a big, big way, the under is a lock.

Ok a few points that the guy who wrote that article shows how much he sucks at life.1) It was a great movie2) The Attack mode KITT was pretty dang stealthy if you ask me3) Acting was spot on for a first time pilot movie, I was impressed.4) Writing was pretty good as well since they had to carry on an iconic storyline and make it seem real enough to blend in and setup a potential series.5) Emotionless line reading? How about emotionless article writing. Get a life.6) I also felt Kilmer did a good job with the new voice. It's a new KITT so you can't have the same voice as before.7) Stupendously lousy writing on this persons behalf claims stupendously lousy plot. C'mon! What do you expect from a 2 hour TV movie that had to bring a new storyline, tie it into the ending of the old series, rebirth old characters for cameo's and end with an opening to allow more shows down the road if successful.8) I hope for more than 10 episodes. The show is about the car, and the guy who drives it kicking @$$ and taking names against bad guys. Does this guy remember the days of Dukes, GI Joe, TMNT. When good guys fought bad guys and that was the show. Well it's finally back and the fight scenes were pretty good so I'll be watching.

I won't even waste my time watching the show... I wanted my 10 mins back that I wasted on the 2 hour movie. IMO very lame.
