As of today, I am a Newbie. I just bought my Vibe and I'm so excited to not only have a new Vibe but I'm just as excited about the deal I got.The dealer sold it to me for $50 under invoice less the $2,000 regular rebate and less my $3,500 GM Card Rebate. That means I paid $12,270 plus tax for a vehicle with a sticker of $19,010. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.I just had to share with some folks who can appreciate this deal.

Yep, that's a pretty good deal alright but do you carry a balance on the card? Welcome to the fun.

I pay the balance off each month on my card. I'm not sure if I will continue to use the GM card in the future. Even though I got a good deal this time, it was only because of a "perfect storm" of circumstances. I may just look to buy used next time.Anyone have any thoughts on the GM card???

Good job, I did the same when I bought my 03 GT. Sticker 21,000, GM card 3500, GM rebate 2,000, dealer discount from sticker, $2,500, total $8K off, for net price of $13K before taxes.Congratulations!

A $2,500 discount on a 2003 with MSRP of $21,000 was about $1,000 under invoice. How did you do that? Have pictures of the dealer romancing a goat or something?

No goat pictures!I was not in a hurry to buy, I wanted a GT with the power package. This was not a popular combination for some reason, I found like 2 in all SoCal over a couple of months. But because it was not popular it wasn't selling. I found this car online on GM buypower and followed it for a few months. The car had been built in July 02 and was still on a dealer lot in June 03. It had about 200 miles on it, had been lent out on the GM 24 hr test drive (or so they say), but never registered, so was still brand new for warranty purposes. It was also an 03 at the end of the model year, and it was the last Sunday of the month - do or die for sales quotas.I found it in April, in May I made an online offer of $19K before rebates, they rejected. 3 weeks later I went up there checkbook in hand, offered $18,500 before rebates, cash deal. Sat there for a couple hours while they tried for more. Eventually they decided they wanted my cash more than their Vibe. I was lucky and would not expect to get that kind of deal again. I did not need to buy that day, that gives the buyer a lot of power.

That GM card is really a sweet deal on top of rebates and a good discount. These things vary by location but there are usually items on the invoice (that the dealer has to pay) that you don't see on KBB or Edmunds. On my 2001 PT cruiser the invoice included--Advertising fee $415-Gasoline $18 -Recall notice fee $20-Administration fee $60Just curious -did you happen to see the actual invoice - remember what misc. fees are now being added? My 2003 Vibe bought at $49 OVER invoice had a total of about $180 in such fees - I think $140 of it was advertising but the dealer was in an rural area where the ad fees were less than a big city dealer.

Pulled the trigger today.'07 Vibe 5sp/pwr/mono/abs/side bags, in shadow, sticker $19,8 for $17,5 OTD.$550 GM Card -- I bled my account last year on a Silverado work truck -- and $2k in rebates. Boy, if I could ever hold out for the full $3,500! That was a sweet deal that started this thread!Thought I'd let y'all know. And I still have all the Yakima stuff to put a couple canoes on it, too...Cheers, -Mathias

I looked at the invoice information off edmunds and kbb and saw that it looked like he was $50 under invoice and he later told me the same thing.

I just looked at KKB and I think you were $50 under invoice plus the dealer ate the added fees. A even better deal than you thought.
