well this will be the second time this year my Vibe has visited the body shop The good this is... it wasn't my fault this time! Noone was hurt either.Anyway, I was heading home with my daughter after getting some lunch and I was about a block away from my house when the truck in front of my skids a little (maybe a foot). We were slowing down anyway b/c there was a stop sign coming up. So I stop when he stops and then I see his reverse lights come on He missed the driveway that he meant to turn into and well now I have a nice square dent in my bumper from his trailer hitch Another good thing is he was completly cool about it and admitted fault. Now I just have to wait for the police report and go get two quotes to get things going

At least everyone's ok and it wasn't that bad!It helps when the other guy puts total blame on himself for his own wrong doing's.

I just got my estimate.... $1,300 I didn't figure it would be that much but oh well... I'm not paying Good thing is my bumper has had previous repair (before I bought it) done to it so I'm getting a fresh new shiny bumper Bad thing is i have a foot and a half long crack coming from the passengers side of my windsheild (totally unrelated to my accident)

How about your painted cladding? Will you have to fund that or will it be covered?

I didn't specifically ask but I know I won't have to pay anthing. The paint for the front cladding will more than likely be figured in with the paint for the whole bumper. The cladding didn't get messed up but I'm not sure if it's ordered as one part or what.

I think the bumper is two pieces. I'm not sure though. At least it should be covered.

yeah, it's two pieces... I guess I might end up with an extra one.I know I'll be getting another grill (the honeycomb part) so I'll have a spare & I have a little idea I wanna try with it

i think the bugs helps the damage stay minimal... could have been worse. : )Hope it gets fixed soon... at this rate you might end up getting a tank. lol
