That lawsuit, which named GM, Ford, Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, Honda and Nissan as the defendants, was thrown out today by a federal judge.Martin Jenkins, the U.S. District Judge presiding on the case, said that it was impossible to assess how much responsibility automakers had in contributing to the damage caused by global warming in California. Furthermore, he went on to say that lawmakers – not judges – should be the ones responsible for determining if automakers should be held accountable.[Source: Automotive News – Sub. I'm not sure I could respond to this in any kind of meaningful way without it being in the political forum.I'll simply say good.

You get a gold star today. thas right, but this suit was filed a year ago, so it was daimler chrysler then. Cerberus just bought em out this yeari agree that this was a stupid lawsuit. people will sue and try to get money for anything now, it's ridiculous. hey maybe bill lockyer will file a suit against the residents of california. it's because of us that the vehicles pollute the air, the cars don't drive themselves ya know i remember back when daimler chrysler tried to sue GM and AM General(the company that created and still makes humvees n hummers) because they said the similar grill can confuse consumers into buying something they think is a jeep. how else does a hummer resemble a jeep?? if someone is stupid enough to actually think a H1,2, or 3 is a jeep, they deserve to make the $30,000-$100,000+ mistake i hope nothin i said will throw this in the political forum. mods: if i did, IM me n i'll change it
