HI all. I plan on installing a 12VDC Car Power Accessory Outlet in the left rear access panel in the cargo area to make it easier for my wife to plug in her fan. What do y'all think will make a cleaner and easier install? Splice into cigarette outlet behind dash pnl or splice into wires under center console where there should be a connector for it already? Also,I picked up a couple access pnls from a wrecked 03 Matrix to use so I don't have to cut into the new pnls. These are the same as the Vibe right? I hope,I hope.... L8Rsssss

not sure about the panels if they are the same. personally I would use the one for the center console. It would probably be easier, and cleaner to install than all the way to the dash....

If you put it in one of the tail light access panels, be sure to leave enough extra wire so you can remove the panel without stressing the wires or the outlet. If she runs the route with the rear seats down, it might be a cleaner and easier install to mount the new outlet on the back of the center console, maybe down near the floor.

Thanks for the input. To be honest I don't know how she configures the seats during the week. I only help on Sunday mornings and we use the truck. I will find out where she thinks would be the better place to install the outlet.L8Rsssss
