6 Disc CD Changer? 12 Disc CD Changer?!

My Vibe has the Moon & Tunes package, so I have the Monsoon sound system. I'm very happy with the stereo, but I occasionally take longer trips by myself and I hate having to switch CDs while I'm driving. It's dangerous! So I was thinking of getting a CD changer, but I would like to keep the original stereo where it is if possible. The Corvette has an available CD changer accessory that you put in the back of the car.http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/accessories/Does the Vibe have a similar accessory available? Or even an aftermarket one. I wouldn't mind having a 12 disc changer in my trunk or or my center console. Any ideas? Thanks!(Yes, I know about Ipods. I don't want to go that route.)

You could always buy an aftermarket CD Changer with the FM tuner. You just tune your factory radio to a certian FM station (one that is just static) and when you turn the changer on it broadcasts thru your stereo. That's probably the only way you can do it keeping your stock stereo.Or get the 6disc in dash that you can get from GM for the vibe (probably cheaper on ebay )

I've got a 10-disc CD changer that plays MP3 CDs connected directly (no FM) to my stock headunit, which is used to control it:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22835It's a little picky about MP3 formats & discs, but I've never had any trouble with regular CDs. Works great!PS - It's under my passenger seat.

That might be something I would be interested in. I'll have to look into it. I noticed one of your mods was an old style center armrest. Is that that one that flips up twice? Is it higher than the old one? Where did you get it? eBay? Thanks!

I have a Sony Xplod CDX747 10 disc changer at my house. Has the bus and audio cables. Also has all the mounting hardware to put it wherevere, standing up, or laying down. The only thing missing is a Magazine which you can get from Crutchfield for like $15. Make me an offer and it's yours! The only other thing it would need would be a connection for a Sony-Pontiac head unit. No big deal. Let me know if your interested, send an email to Adam.WhelanCT@gmail.com The unit works great and is in good shape, I can take pictures as well.

It's also higher than the current one (on 2005+ models).I got mine from Toyota (also used on the Matrix). If you dig through the following thread, it has the part #:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=12602
