Hello all,As many know, i am a Subaru guy, that is in love with the Vibe...lol... This is not stopping me from getting my DREAM SUBARU, which is happening this weekend...!!!!For those that don't know or haven't seen, this is the dream car... Travel plans are set, i am leaving this friday, early morning... Spending the day and night in NJ... My boss, a completely great guy, is loaning me the keys to his BEACH house on Spray Beach (Long Beach) NJ..!!!!!!!
http://maps.google.com/maps?so...ab=wlThen i am planing a return trip that is going to take me past New York city... on my way to Fishkill NY, to see a friend i haven't seen in 5-6yrs.... Then through much of NY to Buffalo... And home to Michigan... I am planning on staying off the main highways and trying to stay on as many "backroads" as possible... I wanted everyone to look at my return trip map, and if anyone happens to be along the way, i'd like to stop and say HI, maybe show off the Subie a little bit, to try and get some people to understand my un-dieing love for this car (if anyone is interested, that is)... The directions can easily be changed to accomodate....
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=...&om=1I will be renting a GPS unit, so getting lost is out of the question... I know, i know, this is a Vibe site, i've been told that already... I LOVE my Vibe, but, I have DREAMS of this car... I would like to share it with anyone who might be interested in seeing such a thing up close... So, PLEASE, if you live somewhere along my route, or if i can change my route a little to get to you, i think it would be great to meet some Vibers.... Oh, and just so i have the obligitory Vibe pic.... Here is my Storm Trooper... Older pic, pre-detail....Thanks everyone...!!!!Cheers,Aaron

LOLgood luck on your trip, stay safe and make sure you post up plenty of pics.

Checking in from the road. I'm currently in Fishkill NY, on my way to buffalo...I'm having SUCH a GREAT time, oh, things have been so incredible...!!!I went to Extreme Wheels car show in Newark NJ yesterday... It was sponsered by Import Tuner Magizen...I pulled a Best of Show....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Almost 300 car including an INSANE 200k porshe and a 400k BMW 318 with a UKDM M5 swap and a turbo as big as your HEAD........I couldn't have done it without my friend Aaron i met through NASIOC and the rest NJic and Tri-state NASIOC crew....i'll be leavin for Buffalo asap. Took the car in for an alignment, cause the negitive camber KILLED the front tires in my pics ablve and well, they knocked off one of my side skirts... They are doing thier best to fix it as i write.... Wish me luck...

Hi all,Well, i finally made it home.... What a LONG and INCREDIBLE weekend..!!!!I made it to NJ no problems, the seller came out and picked me up from the airport in his Mini Cooper S, with full coilovers, sways, 18" BBS wheels and body kit... We proceeded to his house to look at the car..... Amazing, nothing short of amazing....I went to 2 different (yet the same) Subaru meets on saturday, both had the Dunkin Rally Team (factory stock class, sponsored by Subaru and Dunkin Donuts)We showed up at the first meet, finding we were the only other subaru guys there for the moment, a few more showed, but, most wouldn't come out because it had been raining.... I got to chill out in the rally car for a few, snap in the steering wheel and feel what it was like behind the wheel(no driving of course) Then Sunday was the show, which as i mentioned, pulled Best of Show...On up to Fishkill NY, for the evening, next day, alignment and side skirt issues.... on to Buffalo...Got to Buffalo about 12:30am, and scooped up my friend, to hit a local store for some supplies, not 10min in Buffalo i get stopped (knew it was gonna happen) not for speeding, but, because my car was illigal in like 6 different ways, no ticket, just a warning.... Tooled around in Buffalo the next day for a bit, visiting some old haunts and stopped and got some rollbar padding (much needed), and got on the road for home... No problems at the canidan border on EITHER side, which is almost unherd of these days... comming out of canida is usually a 1-2hr wait, there was 4 cars there yesterday at about 4pm....!!!!!On the way up from the Port Huron area, i happened to look in the rear view and saw a red dot getting closer, up pulls a 07'08' Pontiac GTO, the 6.0L with the 400hp... well, we had to run, there really was no choise.... I smoked him... repetedly.... (don't worrk, there was no traffic on the highway, i wouldn't have considered it if there was)So i'm home, in one piece, just registered the car and spen 936.00 to do so (OUCH) I should have lied about what i payed.... Want some great pics, stop over here....
http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...48490I gotta thank my friend Aaron Lee for taking some really great pics and for being my escort and leaision for my NJ portion of the trip, if it wern't for him, i would have never made it through NJ and to the meets and the show...What a great guy... To give you all an idea of how the NASIOC peeps help one another, i was on the stock 16" wheels for the trip, they had horrendous tires on them and when Aaron came to pick me up it was raining and the car was hydroplaining all over the place..... I mentioned it to him and he quickly came up with the idea that we should trade wheels, my stock 16" with crappy tires for his stock 17" Subaru leggy wheels, which had about 8mi on them seeing how he had wheels for his car before he bought the leggy.... All in all it was an incredible long weekendThis is one of the best pics of the weekend.....I think...

I doubt you wanna hear it from me but, don't feel as though you have to race everybody on the road even if there isn't anybody around, I've seen too many accidents from street racing/excessive speeding and they don't end well. Just my $.02.

I know what you are saying about the street racing, i'm aginst it, this was my only mesure of true power of the car at this point, it's never been dynoed, so i just don't know what it's making... this gave me a decent idea of what it's making... I will never condone or endorse street racing... it's bad new and it's giving the import guys a bad name...

street racing is stupid and makes the rest of us import/subie folk look like idiots. we get targeted by the cops enough. besides, that car is set up for rally, not really straight line racing. you need to find some rally cross events to play with your new car!
