Hi All, I bought a used 03 vibe with 65k down in NC and later moved up to PA (Bethlehem). When I bought it, I had the dealer change the clutch, brakes, oil, but I feel like it is time for some serious servicing (at least for my own peace of mind). I have added about 5k miles (~4k of which highway driving), and it has been almost 5 months. I am trying to figure out how, where, when, and if to get my car serviced, what I should be looking to getting checked, and what ballpark amount I might have to shell out. My car also makes funny noises and vibration around 3k RPM that is making me nervous. Otherwise its holding up like a champ after all the cross country trips.I have a 03 GT fully loaded. Manual. All advice and suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you all.

Your Owner's Manual has a service schedule based on mileage and years. One for normal driving and another for severe (defined). Since it's a GT you should assume it was driven hard. If you didn't get one when you bought the car, try seeing if the dealer will get you one. Else, I think someone on here has a link to an online version.Things I don't see on your list that should have been done at 60-70k:Replace cabin air filterReplace engine air filterEmissions Control Service by dealer to see that all systems operating correctlyInspect belts and replace if neededRotate tiresAdjust valves to factory spec if neededDrain, flush and replace coolant, inspect hosesPressure test AC and clean all componentsChange manual tranny, transfer case, differential fluids every 30k if towing or hilly terrainInspect and fix any fuel tank, line, cap, gaskets as needed. Suggest replacing the cap at least.Make sure you keep a detailed log of everything you do. If anything does go wrong it will help your mechanic. Good luck!Vibration sources could be, motor mounts, tire wear or balance, alignment, valves, incorrect idle setting, plugs or plug wires, etc. I'm not a mechanic so someone else here might have better ideas.

Hey... Another person in the Valley!.... WOOOOHOOO!Besides me there are only two other active members on this side of the state. Both of them own Matrix's. Check our
http://www.matrixowners.com as well. I have taken my car to
http://www.straussauto.com/sdaWelcome.shtmlThey aren't all that brite but they are cheap. If you know exactly what you want them to fix take it there. Talk to MIKE. He is the only one there that really knows his stuff. I use the Bethlehem one located on1742 Stefko Blvd. Bethlehem PA 18018610-954-0510I got the car from Star pontiac and take it there with any of my warranty issues. Which has only been one issue. My stock battery died two days after I bought the car.Location:
http://www.starpontiac.com/ou/...hoursI just moved the other day in to a new home just north of the lehigh valley airport. Once I get my new house a bit more orginized hit me up on in Instant message and we can hook up for MODDING parties...

Hey Keith, its great to find someone closeby. As I drive around I do see a number of nice vibes around (more than I expected anyway), and some have waved back, but I guess not many become active here.I will try the StraussAuto place you mentioned. Since I bought the car with quite a few miles on it, I wanted to get it fully looked at by someone who knew these beasts (or the Matrixes, or the Celicas whose engine it uses), but wasnt quite sure who in the valley had experience dealing with these and yet wasnt a ripoff like most dealers.I actually have a laptop lying around (The screen mount broke off from the chasis) that I was thinking of putting in my car as my navigation/entertainment system if I got the time, but free time has been fairly difficult to find. (I'm an electrical engineer btw) If there is something I might be able to help you out with, do let me know.Cheers.
