Woohoo!!!!!Only had 5000 miles on it. Just needs some tubing and the thermostat. $1370 shipped. I'm so pumped! So ya, to compensate for that price I'll probably sell the Unichip I've had for 3 weeks, My CAI, and the Helix. I'll keep everyone posted.Lancer.......interested in helping me with this install? I'll pay you with money or beer

Yeah I would have loved to help, But you moved to Madison! If you still have a place in GB, we could do it there. And I'll take the beer Budlight bottle)! Even though I could use the money, just wouldn't feel right taking money from ya.I take it that your going to stick with the TRD ECU? Or are you gonna get a camcon down the road?

I'd drive to Appleton if we could do it at your place. My dad is pretty good with cars and could help me but he probably wouldn't be too hot with the supercharge idea......until he can't change it. Right now I think I'll sell the CAI, Helix, Unichip, and grounding wires. I'll focus on finishing the exhaust and go from there. I have a feeling I'll be happy with that result and, if not, I'll do something in the feature.

That would be nice, but, my land lord and I are having a little fued. He's having a hard time with money (as we all) and keeps being a weiner about everything. I can't even wash my car at home anymore cause he took the hose and removed all the fuacets from the outside!Got a freind in Darboy (south Appleton), that might let us do the install there. Nice big garage and driveway. I'll aske but don't hold your breath for me.

3000 miles? No way am I changing sparks every 3000 miles. Did you mean 30,000 miles? What is recommended between those two? And the belt is included, isn't it?
Posted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 11:16 am
by northvibe
well those are the copper plugs...Id just get the NGK ones which i think are the same as the denso.... Nope I mean like they have to be changed and/or checked every 3k cuz they do not last long at all.THe belt is in the Kit but you got a used SC so I wasnt sure if everything came with it i just posted those parts as things you need if you get a SC.

Keep your grounding wires, how much could you sell them for anyway... the benifits out weigh the loss... you need all the ignition current you can get to....

Nice deal...Can't you have your Unichip remapped for your SC set-up? The one I have has a 3rd terminal labeled "boost"....

Ya, I can. But I want power and reliability and I have a feeling that the SC will keep me happy enough, so to offset the cost I'm selling things I don't really need. After this I'll finish the exhaust, and then start on the outside.....

Cool...Look forward to hearing how it goes. I am also looking at the SC fo rmy Vibe, had planned on a Turbo kit until I realized th estate emmission laws consider it "Tampering" and therefore illegal. That said, with the SC I will have a few bucks left over.

Hey North,it will be easier for him to change his thermostat, since his IM will be off when he changes it.For you,you have to get it from the bottom and it's just underneath the IM,to the right of the alternator. What thermostat did you order Petrucci? And do you have the install instructions for the s/c.

Maybe Lancer has some of the copper spray gasket stuff, because you don't need that much of it,and do you have the gasket for the s/c.What hoses are you missing,do you need pics of the routing, and is Lancer giving you a hand with the install.

A lot of the hoses are still attached but I was told to buy a few feet of 3/8" to be safe. I'm not sure if he'll be helping. I'd love to have his help but I know that we can't do it at his place and I know that we're all busy and such, so we'll see.

Anybody link me to the Denso IK20's to purchase? All of them I find seem to be for the XRS and I want to make sure I order the right ones that are able to be re-gapped. Thanks.

Why don't you try the NGK BKR6EIX plugs. That's what I used and they are holding up fine.

All right, I may do that. For some reason people were telling me that the IK20s were superior.
