I upgraded my computer last evening:Replaced a cooling fan30GB HDD ---> Added an 80GB HDDLite-On 10X DVD-R Drive ---> Upgraded to a Lite On 20X DVD-RW Drive128MB Video Card ---> Upgraded to 256MB Video Card19" Viewsonic CRT Monitor ---> Upgraded to 22" LCD WidescreenWith these upgrades I have completely maxed out my computer. Was already at 1.5GB RAM on my 1.1Ghz AMD chipped 7yr. old computer. When this gets too slow it will be time for a new computer.I figure I should be good for another 2-3 years.

dang I should post pics of the cooling in my pc hahha. BC awesome upgrades! even my gaming pc is 3 or 4 yrs old and still runs all the new stuff processors now days have slowed a little on speed once they hit 3ghz. Now we must wait for 8 core single processors with new OS's to take advantage of them...do you have a laser mouse yet? or just a optical? laser I hear is super precise

Optical wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. I'm ready to hit the mouse with a 15lb sledge hammer soon though. It is having a mind of its own even after fresh battery and cleaning. Like I pull the mouse towards me and the arrow on the screen will go up instead of down. AAAAAAAAARGH!!!

DOH! That might be my problem. It wasn't shiny when it came with the computer, but after 7 years of use it has gotten shiny. Time to upgrade the mouse pad too!

No, didn't think of that. I'll try it tonight. (I'm working at an Architect's office PT in downtown, Mpls and not at my home office right now)
