I'm going to be pulling my lights apart to paint the edging black. Just curious of the brand some of you people used since the lamps get hot on the inside. I would assume some kind of heat resistant paint. If you have pictures, that would be great as well!

You can probably use black caliper paint. Nice to see Bubb Rubb back! Did you get your whistle tip installed?

BBQ flat black.... Just make sure you don't touch it after it's dry or the oils in your hands will make "spots" more glossy...

Be careful and good luck! I actually tried this mod yesterday, and my headlight ended up melting to the cookie tray. Needless to say, I gave up.

No. The oven was at 200. Within 10min the lights were melting. My buddy and I were doing it the exact same way that we did his wrx just two days prior, but his came out great.

a cookie tray is not the best thing to use. No metal should touch the lights, you should use something like a oven mitt or block of wood.

I know that now. Oh well, live and learn.
