there's quite a bit you can do to a base...it's all relative on how much you are willing to spend on it

Quote, originally posted by rch2005 »give me a for instanceSunny already gave you quite a few. If you really want to go all out for increased performance in exchange for $$$ there's the supercharger made for the '03 & '04 Vibe/Matrix models but modifiable to work on the '05 and up ones. There are also turbocharger options. But for either of these I'd suggest glancing through this lengthy thread on matrixowners.com:
http://matrixowners.com/index.php?showtopic=63187 to see what you might be getting into. There are also concerns with possible problems getting things repaired under warranty if there's any possibility the modification may have been involved in the failure. And since you're here in California note that some of the modifications may not be approved by the CARB which could cause headaches down the road when you need to get the smog testing done.

That's a little much to start off with. Most people as Sunny stated, start off with a Cold air intake. Then they move on to an exhaust system. That's usually the starting point, and you can go wild from there.

Unfortunately the only available CAI for '05 and up is the Cosmo Racing model and is not CARB approved. We don't need no stinkin' CARB in Quebec. Cosmo Racing is in Montreal for those that don't know.

ummm.. for instance...you can get a turbo or a SC and upgrade the transmission. Cost = $$$$$you can do internals from Monkeywrenchracing.com Cost = $$$ for not much gains. internals will go best if teamed up with Forced inductionjust a couple for instancesyou can also go for the CAI, DC sports header, lightweight pulleys cost= $$ for a noticeable change.
