Well, here she is! These are the first pictures, before I do the Mequiers three step wax and detail everything. That's a project for this weekend.

No, it's not just you. There is some wax on the cladding. There's a product to clean that stuff when I'm going to pick up and use this weekend. It also has a few dents in the fender where it looks like someone with a bony hip leaned on it. The dent puller/popper thing should take care of that. And of course, wouldn't you know that on the day I pay for it, a rattle develops under the hood somewhere. Oh well...I guess my mechanic needed to take a look at it anyways...

Good plan to do the 3-Step clean and wax. I did mine and it really made for a big improvement. Believe me, if done right, it will take you the whole day. This thread shows what I did and results. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=30269Since you have a two-tone, you'll want to handle the cladding differently than the rest of the car. Use different products to clean and shine it. Be sure you use the right stuff or it could end up a big mess. Also, I think someone said the Lava is a one-step paint and needs to be handled differently than a car with clear-coat. Be sure you know which you have, so you use the right products. Oops! I now see the detailing was to be done two months ago. Hope you got it right.Anyway, I like the wheels. You're gonna love having a Vibe.

They are indeed 16" wheels. I decided to keep the stock size because around here the roads are terrible. Fast fact: North Carolina more paved roads than any other state. Which translates into a DOT stretched way too thin and an incredible amount of potholes. In response to the waxing, the only thing to be careful about on the one coat paint is not to clean it too much. You'll end up buffing off the paint since there's no clear coat there to clean. But it's looking good now

looks good!when i went upt to 17" i did notice a harsher ride. good idea to keep the stock size. i believe zuben and a few others did the same thingnow just shine up that rubber and lower the vibe and you're set...until y ou find another mod to do!
