Well I have made my choice and gone with the HID's. You should be very proud of me Keith.H4 Bi-xenon (HID high and low), plug and play, 14 month warranty. All for $145.00This is probably my last toy for the car. Except for getting rims and a paint job. I need to get into my own house now.

Which wedding anniversary is it? I'm assuming you aren't going with the traditional gift type (ie. paper anniversary, wood anniversary, etc)?

We really are not that traditional when it comes to the anniversaries, except for when it becomes the 10, 20 , 30, etc. If it ever goes that far.

I got a couple pics. They are not the greatest. I could not really find a good place to take them. One of the is of course looking straight at the car and the other is with my back up against the front bumper.

SublimewindIf you go to the site I gave you ( mydepots.com ). Look at the MD01 kit. They have H4-2 which has a HID low and a halogen high. But if you get the H4-bixenon you get both HID low and high.

If you decide to get the HIDS. Trust me and get the H4-bixenon, if you get the H4-2, you will be disappiontent with the highs.

Does the bulb move or does the sheild move to the highbeam possition?Didn't happen to take a photo of the kit, mainly the bulbs before you installed them?I was considering replaceing the bulbs in my kit with the biexenon's, I have to contact a few sellers to see what if anything can be accomidated to make that happen with the existing kit i now have.

I learned from the best. Neither the bulb or shield moves. It just changes over to highs like a normal bulb. I will get a pic of the bulb for you on thursday.

So tell me, cause it's hard to see from the pics.Is there 2 bulbs ? Or is there 3 contacts in a single bulb? (like 2 anodes and a single cathode or vise versa) Or 4 contacts in each bulb...? As most of us know a typical filament bulb has 2 positive contacts and 1 negative(common) and the filaments are in different locations causing the hi/low effect. How do they differ? Could you try and get a macro shot of the bulb possibly? I'm sorry, it's the scientist/tweeker in me, asking the questions...

I can try to get some better pics. HID's are nothing like regular filament bulbs. There is a lot more to them then what people think. They are almost like the bulbs I use every day.It is kinda hard to explain but I will definitely try to get some better pics.

nice.. did you disable the drl feature on your vibe then? i'd be curious to know the life of those compared to a stock bulb or a silverstar.

Yes, you do have to disable the DRL/auto headlight. If not the light will pulsate. As far as how long they will last. 5000 hours. And since you have to disable the DRL and turn the lights on manual, you save alot of hours on the light.

the only reason i would not do this is if god forbid you ever get into an accident, your insurance may give you **** about having modified a "safety" feature of the car.

Like there must be 2 bulbs, as a single HID bulb cannot share a bulb as the light is created by an arc rather than a solid path like a filiment... Thanks mang
