Now, having read the real story, it ticks me off that someone had enough money to stash all these cars, but didn't respect them enough to properly store them! Some people...

what is funny, is that some good friends (older) of my family here in AK collected various cars and car parts. the difference was that his were outside and over time, grass and shrubs started over growing them. he had some awesome cars, but don't think they were salvageable. we counted over 50 of them.

My grandfather had a farm in Nebraska. I remember playing in the old cars with my cousins out there. He must have had about 20 old cars and trucks that he didn't use anymore. I also remember that he paid a guy to haul them all away one day. My Dad was upset because he wanted the 40 Ford Coupe. Once in awhile I still see farms like that when I go back to visit.

I was out photographing a ghost town last summer. There wasn't much there. A grain silo, 2 leaning barns and a really old farm truck of some sort. I took a walk behind the barn and looked in the back window that was smashed out and what was in there but an old car, dusty but looking in very good condition and a shelf in the barn had several old cans of oil. Very cool to come across!
