If you bought new, then you would have gotten two keys, but I see in your first post you bought a used 2003 Vibe, so you probably only get the keys the previous owner turned in. I have bought a number of used vehicles, can't rememebr ever getting more than one key with any of them.THE good news is that the car has a basic toyota key, no fancy chip in the key. You should be able to get a spare key made anywhere that makes keys, hardware stores, even some walmarts. Should cost a couple of dollars. by comparison, if you had a 2001 Ford Ranger and only had one key, getting a second one would cost you about $100 for the key and the dealer labor to get the key cut and the truck programmed to accept the new key. I had a spare key made for my Vibe. I got one that doesn't have any plastic on it so it is thinner than the factory provided keys, and keep that in my wallet. I have stupidly locked the keys in the car a few times, that one in the wallet has saved me a lot of aggravation

If you need a spare remote, there's tons for cheap on Ebay and reprogramming info is available here.

With the Murano I just got a couple months ago, the dealer only had one and ordered a new one without my asking, and it has an "intelligent key" - no actual key at all. (they also ordered a new set of factory floor mats and, a second set of wireless headphones for the DVD system, fixed an interior piece that was lose, and re-painted a scratch on the rear bumper - all without my asking) But I'd agree that in general you're limited to what the dealer got from the previous owner. (I happened to buy from a great dealer my last time around)
