Out of the blue I started my car and there is no bass... Nothing has ever been changed in the car anyone perhaps have some suggestions on where to start looking to resolve the issue. Warranty is expired so any help is appreciated.

The required question out of the way first: Do you have the equalizer set to have minimum bass? Probably not, I assume you would have tried the equalizer settings already, but I had to ask. Same with the question: have you tried a CD or radio station that you know has bass? Don't know really, seems unlikely that all the speakers would somehow stop putting out any bass, and I'm guessing the amplifier doesn't really care what frequency the audio is, and can't imagine the wiring acting as a high pass filter, but since the headunit does have an equalizer/tone controls built in, I would suspect it first. but no guarantee. replacement vibe radios show up for dirt cheap on ebay from time to timewelcome to genvibe, please remember to post back the fix when you get it figured out

Well, either a setting is borked, or the sub gave up the gost.... My vote is settings.... But it "could" be time for some upgrades...

Quote, originally posted by Sublimewind »... or the sub gave up the ghost.... The 03 M&T does not include a separate subwoofer, and he said no audio mods have been done to the car, so it is pretty safe to say that the problem isn't a failed subwoofer

Right, no sub with the M&T -- all speakers are full range. Only crossover is for the tweeters by the side mirrors. My question is, are you losing power as well -- i.e. do you have to turn it up, higher than before, to get the same volume? And it's source independent -- i.e. it's happening with both FM or CD?
